Keath L. Marx, DVM is the owner of Seven Seas Veterinary Services, a house-call practice limited to exotic animal  with patients ranging from tarantulas and goldfish to bison and ostrich to ferrets and rattlesnakes to iguanas and parrots, to name only a few!

Dr. Marx also serves as veterinarian for small zoos, exotic game farms and teaches 4-H and YMCA courses in animal care. He is also a computer consultant, designing computer systems and providing training and support for small businesses and individuals.

He is a Director of Veterinary Services for the Three River Avian Center, a wildlife rehabilitation center in Brooks, West Virginia since 1992 and held that same position at the New River Wildlife Center in Blacksburg, Virginia for 6 years.

Dr. Marx served in the U.S. Navy for twenty years, working with computer control and communications systems, and retired in 1985 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

He received a BS degree in business management from the University of Maryland in 1978 and the DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.
 

Margaret A. Roston, BSRN, holds an AB degree in history and government from Cornell University and received a BS degree in Nursing from Cornell University-New Your Hospital School of Nursing in 1978. She has worked in burn care, extended care, family practice, gastroenterology nursing and ombudsman for Agency on Agency.

Currently, Ms Roston is involved with desktop publishing and conference management for several organizations including the Mid-Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians and Virginia Ostrich Association. She also assists Dr. Marx with the veterinary practice. Ms Roston does extensive volunteer work with community, animal, and health organizations.

Dr. Marx and Ms. Roston are married, and their combined families include two daughters, two sons, and a granddaughter. They live in Blacksburg, Virginia.
